PLANETARY
These two images of Jupiter were taken in 2000 using film and an Orion XT8 Dobsonian that I modified for prime focus AP. Not great but not too bad considering there was no tracking. The shot on the left is a stack of 2 images, the one on the right is a single image.
These 3 shots of Mars were taken in August, 2003 during it's closest approach to Earth in 60,000 years.
They are single shots taken afocally using a 2.0 MP Sony Cybershot digital camera and an Orion XT10.
A 25mm Plossel was used for the middle shot and a Meade 6.7mm UW for the 2 larger shots.
